Well Being Digital (WBD101) announced the results of its in-ear blood oxygen saturation level (SpO2) earbud reference design clinical trial conducted with the Hypoxia Laboratory at Shenzhen University, Asia's pioneer test lab in oxygen desaturation. The SpO2 earbud reference design features the single point multimodal sensor array technology from WBD101 and the MAX86174A optical pulse oximeter and heart-rate sensor analog front end (AFE) from Analog Devices. Sponsored by Analog Devices on behalf of WBD101, the results of the clinical trial demonstrate the reliability and accuracy of the in-ear SpO2 monitoring with a root-mean-square accuracy of better than 3.5 percent, exceeding regulatory requirements of international medical device standards such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and European Medical Device Regulations (EU MDR).
